I live here. Latitude: 42:53:49N (42.8971) Longitude: 71:29:51W (-71.4974)

A bad technology day. A lousy connection makes Web reading a chore, makes on-line poker a bore, and makes HP Outlook email impossible (I know... it doesn't rhyme).

I'm beginning to think this should be called "writer's block" rather than "cellar door." Or maybe "procrastination." Or "anything but writing."

What does it mean when you''re ready to work on anything except your own stuff? Peg and I were watching a Tivo'd episode of Monk a week or so ago, "
Mr. Monk Goes to the Asylum", and the (paraphrased) line that the doctor uses when Monk is unable to start a drawing, "You can't do it because you want it to be perfect", really resonated with me.

Is that my problem?

Kate Worley, the writer of "Omaha the Cat Dancer", died on Monday, according to Mark Evanier's site.
