A ''Bewitched" statue planned for Lappin Park in downtown Salem gained ground last week.
The city's Design Review Board approved minor changes to the park, including removal of a brick wall and new lighting, to accommodate the 9-foot tall bronze statue of Samantha Stephens, the TV witch played by actress Elizabeth Montgomery.
